Where are our own happy endings?
In the twilight.
Take me from this world, so sightless
Nightlight, alight!
That's the essence of pretending
Unhappy plight.
The foes are sad, the friends bright and
Might fiction fight?

Under City Lights
My heart thrives under city lights,
My dreams are born on city nights,
I am a child of the golden street lamps,
I am a child of the city.
When I see the midnight people, walking by,
Or the silver moon, ridiing high
I
City lights in the night sky.
Eerie feeling,
Even darkness is not safe.
Fire on the horizon,
Glowing in the distance.
Hope of civilization
Compelling us to draw ever closer.
Inside the city boundaries,
Doesn't
by Adam Smith
City Nights
In the hills
Looking down upon the city lights
Feeling all the thrills
Loving this live speed and joy
Turning a man
Out of what was a boy
I wish I could stay here as long as I can
But I need a firmer base
by Violet Scott
The midnight train goes by again
so remarkably loud
at least, it would be,
if it wasn't too loud to remark on.
and here, I thought the trucks were bad enough
but the train rattles windows as I watch it roar past
blaring it's whistle
by Tara J
City Nights
As I gaze upon the darkened city
With its mere handful of artificial golden bulbs of light
I look deep within my soul, but find no yearning
No pure desire to appreciate the simplicity of this country town's
So-called bustling
from the dusk an excitement has arisen
the people step into the beat
the world spins a little slower for them
the crowds line up and get ready for the stars
lots of moving cars and sparkling in the city
