how have mobile network companies changed over the last few years?
I think they have got more service, and provide for the needs of their customers. For example O2 have so many services and offer going on, it is amazing but also sometimes confusing. I'm glad that they have more service than they did before, as you can have more of a choice. T-Mobile has a great service on their contract phone where you do not get minutes, but a certain amount of credit each month. However a few year ago O2 had a pay as you go tariff, where you make calls from only 2p a minute, that is why I used O2, and I am still on the tariff.
Calls used to be so much cheaper before, text messages have no changed, they are still 10p a text, increasing this price, would make a difference to people sending text messages as they would not because over 10p is too expensive, but it doe smatter because most people now are on contract, and have free text messages only young kids have pre pay phone and they have to text so they are will to pay 10p (or their parents are paying for it). Contract phone have online bills now, so as to not waste paper.
As predicted many companies have team teamed up with other companies to promote their network, O2 has gone all out to sponsor the O2 centre in London, and get special VIP tickets for shows. O2 and apple have tem up to produce the i-phone, which is not so popular yet as it quite expensive. Personally I do not really like Apple anyway.
All networks are in competition with each everyday. everyday people are deciding which network to be with. O2 and T-mobile and the most competitive, as they have more services and offers.
Here is what each main mobile phone network offers:
O2 - more offer for Pay you Go customer, dealing with music, and other companies.
T-mobile - is a more contract phone company, as they have a lots of different and flexible tariffs.
Orange - more for business people, interacting with Internet broadband.
Vodaphone - Business people, very mature network
3 - really low price plans, but rubbish serivces as they have people who cannot even speak english
