God's appiontment book is written. God has awesome events planned just for us personally.

Little did I know as a nine year old in that old Methodist church, that my life was about to be radically changed. As the congregation was singing a Hymn, I could somehow tell that God was drawing me closer to Him. In a way that only God can speak, I heard Him say, "I have something for you to do, will you come with me?" At that point in my life I had already experienced God's presence on a regular basis, and I was ready to follow Him. It is at that point when I gave my life to Him. In that moment I said yes, and was eternally transformed.

For the next twelve years I knew that God and I had a relationship, and I loved it. I prayed, looked for Him in His creation, and felt His tender hand on me from time to time when I was down and depressed. Then, while I was serving in the Military, I was to have one more transforming experience with God. This time He told me what He wanted me to do. This time He called me to serve Him in youth ministry. Again I said yes. This time He put me to work immediately, and what He did was amazing. I knew nothing about working with youth, or church for that matter. God knew that, so He gifted me with the awesome power of the Holy Spirit as I ministered to youth in the church and on the streets. I knelt with youth on the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean, as they reached out in prayer to receive gift of salvation. I was able to teach and lead students into a closer relationship with God. God was touching every effort as I prepared to be a minister to the youth who would cross my path.

I met with youth and their parents in juvenile detention centers, as they were going through struggles with the law. I met with them in hospitals as injury and illness brought crisis into their lives, and in some cases took their lives. I received calls from young people who had run away from home, and was able to go and minister to them. There were several calls from students who were ready to, and some who had already taken steps to end their lives. God knew I had no idea what to say or do, so He worked in me in all of those situations.

After I had been a Parole Officer, working with adults for a short time, a young man walked through my door. Just out of prison, this seventeen year old sat down in front me. I was to be his Parole Officer. This was the youngest Parolee I had ever had. As I spoke to him, reading the Parole rules, the Holy Spirit came over
