There are people that hate, and complain about President George W. Bush. It has become very popular with many sectors of both parties, but please try to remember the illustrious former President Jimmy Carter. Those of us that lived through his only four years (thank G-D) as President should have nothing good to say.

Sure President Carter brokered the Peace Plan in 1978 between Israel, and Egypt. He also signed the Salt Treaty with the Soviet Union. That's the end of the good! The younger generation doesn't look back at history very much, so I'll give them a little help. With all your complaints about (dare I say it) Republican President George W. Bush, do you know anything about the Democratic Presidency of Jimmy Carter?

The prime rate for banks to borrow money was twenty one, or more percent. If it was that high today, everyone would be a Republican. Inflation was sky high, more Republicans. The Iranians took over our Embassy in Tehran, holding our people hostage for over a year. How did this happen? Mr. Carter had his own human rights policy, he demanded the Shah of Iran step down, and turn power over to Ayatollah Khomeini.

One of Khomeini's first acts was to kill 150 top military officers. Nice human rights move, Jimmy. Then came the hostage crisis, oh Jimmy. We did try a military operation to free the hostages, but our helicopters couldn't handle the desert, and another US failure occurred. This led to the wonderful leadership Iran is trying to destroy the world with. Thank you so much Jimmy.

With the destabilization of the area, the Soviet Union invaded Iran. Can anyone say, Taliban. What would we do without you Jimmy? Of course this led to Iraq invading Iran, where are you Jimmy? Oh you left office, or should I say lost to Ronald Reagan. Did Iran rub this in Jimmy's face. As soon as Reagan was sworn in, the Iranians let the hostages go. They feared Reagan, and everything got better here.

Does anyone recall gas lines? Long-long gas lines. The prices were way up, and there were times you could only get gas on an even or odd day. It was based on your license plate last number. We love you Jimmy. What about human rights in Iran now? Cat got your tongue, Jimmy?

Ever since then it's blame everything on Israel. Sure, why blame our greatest enemy that you created! Oh Jimmy, what else could you do? How about going to the middle east to speak with our enemies, and what does this do? It gives Hamas pictures, and stories to legetimize them. That's gonna help, right Jimmy! He meets with another good buddy of ours, Syria. Stop Jimmy, you're killing me. Seriously, you are.

What does Mr. Carter get out of all this personally? Can anyone say money! The Carter Center has received million of dollars from Arab interests. Since this was exposed many of the workers at The Carter Center have handed in their resignations. Jimmy, you're making a lot of Republicans. Mr. Carter has hurt the United States far beyond anyone else, but the people want to blame George W.

Barack Obama is running for President say he is a Washington outsider. The last person to become President of the US saying he is a Washington outsider, you guessed it, Jimmy Carter. They tell us to know our history, so we don't repeat it. Please don't put Jimmy back in!
