The Most Valid New Age Archaeological Revelations

There are some archaeological sites of recent finding and high interest that suggest the existence of great, now vanished civilizations that thrived in the past. These sites are underwater for the most part and suggest the presence of high civilization that met its fate in a universal inundation. These sites are virtually world wide in extent. These discoveries lend credence to myths from around the world about a universal flood. Can this be the hint of ancient Atlantis? 12,500 years ago virtually all land masses were connected in one super continent before a global meltdown submerged the coastlines under some 400 feet of water. With one exception, the findings of Jacques Cousteau in the 1960's, most of these sites were found in the mid 1990's or thereafter.

Following the end of the last ice-age the world experienced a period of flood events, which raised the coastline around the world by several meters as given in some sources or 400 feet given in others. The contours of these ancient coast-lines are easy to determine with the correct kind of map. In fact, with computer simulation, it is now becoming possible to estimate the age of underwater discoveries reasonably accurately through their relative depths underwater. While it is accepted that this science is still in its infancy, the implications of certain underwater discoveries are forcing historians to reconsider the recent path of human evolution.

Most interesting of all are the findings that the Mediterranean Sea did not exist until the "Pillars of Hercules" were breached with the increasingly rising level of the Atlantic. If you consider this impossible, note that Death Valley and the Dead Sea are both well below sea level today. Jacques Cousteau and others have found evidence of civilizations now underwater in the Mediterranean. There are a growing number of other sites that are being discovered by various means, world wide and some of them are stunning. What follows are quotes gathered from various sources detailing the most recent findings.
