Soccer match analysis: AC Milan vs. Juventus

What a high-flying and blockbuster bout between two giants in Italian soccer starting the first half in entertaining fashion between two legendary clubs, AC Milan versus Juventus at the Stadio Delle Alpi.

End-to-end action here in what is turning-out to be one of or if not the greatest matches this season in the Serie A.

Coming into this match, Milan currently is in fifth-place as the desperately hope to push closer to have the Champions League spot. They can edge closer to Fiorentina with a win in Turin.

Juve's talisman, Alessandro Del Piero scoring in the 11th minute, but the Bianconeri fell behind the resilient Milan side by Filippo (Super Pippo) Inzaghi scoring twice in the first half.

Making his trademark blazing runs on the left flank, Rcardo Kak slipped by defender Cristian Molinaro prior to driving the low pass into the six-yard box right onto Super Pippo's feet, tapping the ball into the open net.

Shortly after, Kaka is running at the defenders again from the left the cut-ins, freezing the Juve defence, firing a slightly swerving shot into "the breadbasket" of goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.

First-time touch of midfielder Clerance Seedorf left-foot cross was very poor towards the attacker sneaking from the back-post, proved to be a startling shot attempt that the looping ball almost curved in the top-right corner. Buffon showed his experienced awareness to punch the ball out.

In the 30th Daniele Bonera played the offside trap cleverly just outside the 18-yard box with a give-and-go layoff pass to the trailing Massimo Ambrosini who lofted the ball in front of the dashing Bonera, as Buffon rushed off his line, he chipped the ball to the waiting Inzaghi who calmly settled the ball and then rolled it into the net.

Eight minutes after Kaka again created a glorious opportunity for himself driving a powerful spectacular shot off a volley, a few yards away from the edge of the penalty area. Buffon there again bailing out his team with another posed save.

With the half coming to a close, it seemed that the Rossoneri were sure to end the half with a 2-1 lead.

A minute before the first half was done French striker David Trezeguet with a smashing downward header knocking goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac on the- seat-of-his-pants. And there to collect the rebound was midfielder Hasan Salihamidzic for the easy tap-in.

At the end of the half Buffon made another spectacular save to keep his team in the game preventing the rough-housing midfielder
