Palestinians continue to rain rockets on territory that was once Palestine, because Israel continues to assassinate Palestinian leaders and to use gunships and bulldozers against them too. Living in Sderot, where Qassam rockets fall, would not make anyone feel secure and safe, but Israel clearly holds the upper hand and most of the cards. Repeatedly, Israeli leaders have reneged on agreements for lasting peace with the Palestinians, so why should Palestinians trust anything that Israel says or does?

The record is clear: Israel does not want peace, because that would impinge on its ability to continue to confiscate Palestinian land and property with impunity. Israel does not seek true justice, since it does not prosecute its Jews for the obvious atrocities committed against Palestinians. In Israel, the law apparently only protects Jews. Clearly, there is a double standard in Israeli application of justice, yet adroit manipulation of political leaderships throughout many western countries continues to allow Israel to abuse the Palestinians in the name of maintaining the security of Israeli Jews, regardless of the impact on others.

The history of conflict between Jews and Arabs, specifically Palestinians, shows that Israel uses every means at its disposal to ensure that there are more killed and wounded and more destruction on the other side. Israelis complain vociferously about Palestinian attacks, but fail to investigate or prosecute their own wrong doings against Palestinians. If it involves Israeli or Jewish violence on Arabs, they close their eyes, ears and mouths, like the carved monkeys in the Japanese Imperial summer palace in Nikko. However, if it involves any hardship for Israelis, they ensure they get mass media coverage and also harass, arrest and prosecute the Arab Muslims and seek revenge many times over.

Israel claims it has a right to do as it pleases in reacting to any Palestinian provocation, but fails to properly look after the interests of the indigenous people of the land it has taken at will. The Palestinians have not been allowed to return to their homes, after being herded, often at gunpoint towards the border. Nor has Israel ever offered compensation to Arabs for any property it has compensated, under the apparent guise that it is war booty. Most of the people of the world are not fooled by the juggernaut that Jews seem to hold on the mass media and with the politicians in America and much of Europe. When a few
