A memorable travel vacation does not necessarily have to break the bank. There are many hot deals than can be located with a little resourcefulness and ingenuity. And the island of Jamaica is no exception. Here are a just a small sample of the many available island wide.

MONTEGO BAY

EMERALD ESCAPE BEACH RESORT

DOCTOR'S CAVE BEACH HOTEL

Can a location get much better? Doctor's Cave Beach Hotel is located right across the street from its namesake, the most famous beach in Jamaica. Family owned for over 35 years the hotel has had a storied past as its guests have included some of the most famous people in the world. There are 82 rooms on 3 floors, all with 2 beds, a/c, private bath, cable and telephone. Room rates start at US$45.

There is a gourmet restaurant that gets the freshest food daily from the local market and also serves open air poolside dining. Offered at no additional charge is a manager's rum punch party and poolside barbecue as reggae music blares. Day trips can be arranged for Dunn's River Falls, Rose Hall Great House and rafting on the Martha Brae River.

NEGRIL

VILLA MORA

Reminiscent of the French Riviera the Villa Mora is nestled in a secluded paradise of fruit trees set amongst tropical gardens. The US$40 room rate is a veritable bargain considering what is offered. Anchored on Negril's world famous beach the 17 rooms are self contained cottages with fully equipped kitchen, private bathrooms, television and a/c.

The rooms are beautifully decorated with Sicilian antiques. Internet and cable are available on request.

SAMSARA HOTEL

Located on the cliffs in Negril, The Samsara Hotel is nestled amongst acres of tropical gardens, crystal clear coves, lagoons, and stunning rock formations. Rates starting at an US$25 is an incredible bargain. The 50 rooms includes cottages, regular rooms and pillar houses. They are airy, breezy with private bathroom, ceiling fans and veranda which overlooks the beautiful lush gardens. Samsara is also well known for being a popular wedding destination.

There is an award winning restaurant that serves all its meals in a panoramic seaside setting. Live reggae concerts are offered and have featured some of the most recognizable acts including Ziggy Marley, Backstreet Boys, Boys 11 Men, Brandy, Usher and Jimmy Cliff.
