I cannot stress enought the power of the clearance aisle, within it holds the perfect gifts for your children,family and friends that you haven't discovered yet. Other important stops during the holiday season include the dollar store, big lots,and bargain or dollar sections that many stores have.

Gifts from the heart and handmade gifts are always the best. Some wonderful ideas are purchasing inexpensive collage photo frames and adding pictures for a new grandma or other family member, homemade baked goods, candy and jar gifts also are people pleasers. A person could make their own wax bears- just purchase inexpensive bears and dip in scented melted candle wax, or you could build your own gift basket (or bag); your family and friends should appreciate the work you put into selecting their presents and effort into making it.

Children, the joy of Christmas, usually love everything they receive but with each year they get more greedy. A cheap stocking for younger children has an orange, apple or both at the bottom, fill with candy and cheap toys (grab bags with 5 to 6 toys for $1 at your local dollar store), at the top a sock snow man (made from a tube sock, polyfill,hot glue, needle and thread, yarn, googly eyes or whatever you want to decorate- the top of the sock folds down to make the hat) and finally finish it off with a candy cane stuck in the side. Of course if you have older children or teens throw in some cheap funky socks, little nail polish bottles and less expensive make up, stationary and anything else you find that is cheap. Now as far as other presents go don't forget the 2 for 11 movie sections and great affordable gifts. Some examples of gifts I've found this year are for 19.99 a complete kitchen set and for $5 a 50 piece food kit- sounds like a big present to me- now you just need the finishing touches.
Shop wisely and plan out what you can afford to spend. Don't impulse buy, you have to know what you are getting and what it cost in advance.
