And they lived happily ever after...the end. Yes I will admit when watching movies such as Beauty and the Beast and Titanic, I begin to think about having that perfect relationship, one that we dream about, wondering if it will ever become a reality. Love is something that everyone (at least I think) longs for, the warmth that it brings, the comfort that engulfs us when being with that special somebody. The Beatles said it best, all you need is love. It's true. Love is something that sweeps us off our feet and takes us through the air as if we are among the clouds in heaven, just hoping that the feeling will never pass. After all this is said and done, the question is, "does happily ever after" exist within the present day. The answer is (drum roll please)...yes! I can happily say this because I absolutely found heaven in someone at my alma mater Marist College in the fall of my senior year. I have now been in a serious relationship for over two years and I can tell you that the answer to this question is most definitely yes. I have found that special someone, her name being Erica, who makes me feel like the happiest and luckiest soul to walk the Earth every single moment that I breathe the air. Every moment that I'm not with her, I feel her presence with me; her beautiful brown eyes, flowing brown hair, and beauty that I dream about every night. Every day we see celebrities and witness their new flings and marriages, only to hear weeks later that they are with someone new. Divorces have steadily risen over the years, where now more than fifty percent of marriages end in separation. Seeing all of this, as a normal, everyday person, it's hard to understand why people do what they do. It's hard to witness what these people do to those that they say they love. Love has lost its passion and charisma in the present time, with the overwhelming amount of divorces and separations that end in such ugly ways. It's hard to believe there are happy endings down the yellow brick road. At the same time, anyone who doesn't believe that there aren't happy endings are looking in the wrong direction. Everyone (the majority of us) deserve to have a happy ending with the one that they can spend the rest of their lives with. Love is an experience that is truly indescribable. It leaves you wanting more and more like a kid in a candy store. I have found true love and it's someone that I will hold in my arms until the end of my days. When reading the story of my life, it will end with they lived happily ever after...
