This topic is similar to one of my own personal mottos, which I would normally say to someone who either I am mentoring or believe have the potential to succeed. That motto is "reach for the moon and conquer the stars." This is a phrase I created during my early days of mentoring myself of becoming successful. I would write this phrase on a yellow sticky and carry in my purse for the longest time. Years later as I was cleaning up, I found the sticky, it brought with it some emotions because I had in fact conquered the stars that I wished upon so many moons ago.

How to reach for the stars? Without a doubt one has to know exactly what it is you want in life. If you have the knowledge what it is you want to do it makes it much easier to prepare yourself in order to accomplish the goal(s). Have a clear perception by planning out what, when, where and how you will accomplish this goal. Write down your intentions, plans and goal(s) so to remind yourself daily. In addition, one has to have a passion for what you do. If you do not love what you do you will not succeed and will become unhappy. I have always said in order to accomplish anything; working hard is the primary ingredient in reaching for what you want.

It is imperative to always have a positive attitude and a contingent plan to have a mentor in the event you lose some of your positive "mojo" along the way. Everyone, who includes family and friends have a different perception of what success is including his or her own personal opinions. Therefore, it is important not to follow anyone's perception but your own. It is also important to build your confidence levels and self esteem, this helps when emotions may feel doubtful about the goal(s) you want to accomplish. Take advise but your decision should be based on your own ideals and goals. Therefore, do not compromise yourself for the sake of anyone or thing.

Another important fact is to have patience about reaching for those stars; it may not be plucked from its gaseous aura in the first attempt. Therefore it is with tenacity you will eventually accomplish that task. Notwithstanding the fact that there is a universe of stars, yet do not become idle in your thoughts and actions for the reason time is a fragile element.

The proverbial saying, which states "Action speaks louder than words," is an absolute fact. If you have stated you will plan a course of action on how you will reach for the stars then commit to your plan, discipline yourself in how you perform to
