Humor: Writing while inebriated

Unconsciously, we assume, since it is a plant and therefore without a conscious as far as we know. Anyway, don't you think that some part of that water plays a part in everything the plant does or does not do in the future, even if it's as simple as growing a millimeter of a root?

And don't you think that Wine acts on humans in the same way. fingering into our subconscious, urging our primitive thoughts and actions to the forefront, away from common sense, inhibitions and repercussions? By drinking the wine, aren't we spritzing our insides with the effects of the mind numbing alcohol, and therefore saturating and surrounding our being with that wonderful drink of the Gods? Do WE think that?

Padraic does.

Padraic thinks that wine, (and yes, even other more pedestrian alcohol) food, toxins, antioxidants, vitamins, drugs, makeup, movies, books, interludes, naps, walks, lovemaking, book readings, shrink sessions, chats and anything else we ingest or consume or experience acts to the human as water acts to the potted plant. It plays a future part in whatever that human does. Since the human has a far greater potential than the potted plant to affect the future, it might be a variable worth looking into!

So, yes I think we do mean what we say when we're drunk, just not to the thoughtful conclusion that we do when we're sober. Does the young vodka-addled teenager that yanks off her shirt and flashes commuters from the I-5 overpass really think that this is a good idea 10 years, or perhaps 10 community service hours from now? Of course not! (Unless she's really trashy) But does she possess a bit of the exhibitionist that should probably be discovered and handled before she makes a spectacle of herself at hubby's poker gathering ten years and two kids later than the overpass incident? I do! We can't have the PTA in an uproar because someone forgot to explore his or her inner self, can we? No, that would be a horrifying misuse of a phone tree!

Padraic thinks if you can do it drunk, some part of you can do some bit of it sober. Even if we take it to the ultimate level, whatever that might be. Maybe its murder, maybe it's telling a little bitty fib. (And for each individual, this will of course be different, especially for humans, but it's also true for Wine, believe it or not!)

So, use caution, dear solids, when you are suffused with the exuberance, vitality and indestructibility that Wine may bring you. Don't TRY to fly. Use the experience to figure out HOW to fly!

The bottom line is: live your life and examine your inner feelings and ACT on them. If you don't, Wine or some other unworldly force will bring them out for you. Live and live and live, and don't forget to risk your life or your sanity (same-same right?) in order to live fully. If it's inside you, you CAN do it, and the only one stopping you is you!
So, Wine has over-utilized its weapon tonight and typos are bound to occur soon. We must be off. More than likely, my muse will read this in the morning and remove it, but until then! Viva El Vino! Hooray! Okay. Now Padraic must bring his poor sloshed muse to bed. Good night!
