Who makes the best hot dogs?

One of America's favorite foods is the hot dog. There is an ever-growing feud on who has the best hot dogs. Well, this is a great question because everyone has their own opinions. Whether you like your dogs with the classic ketchup and mustard, pastrami and Swiss, or even top it off with baked beans and coleslaw right on top of your dog. What we've found is there are many out there competing for the title of the best hot dog.

-Ben's Chili Bowl-

If you happen to be in the nation's capital looking for the best hot dog, then look no further than Ben's Chili Bowl. You can't come here without trying their famous "Ben's Famous Chili Dog" which is grilled and then served on a bun with mustard and onions with a generous helping of Ben's Spicy Home-made Chili Sauce. Perhaps you are like Bill Cosby and would prefer to have your dog split and then have the toppings put on top? With Spicy Chili adding some heat, this is why Ben's Chili Bowl has the best hot dogs in Washington D.C.

-Zack's-

Maybe you're looking for a hot dog with attitude and originality. At Zack's, in Baltimore Maryland, you will find just that. Zack's are known for their hot dogs that have a snap to them when you bite into one. Here you can have your dog "Dragged through the garden" with tomato slices, diced onions, peppers, neon green colored relish, a pickle and then topped off with Zack's famous seasoning which they call a Chicago Style Classic. Their home town favorite the "Baltimore Dog" is wrapped in bologna and then grilled to seal in the taste. Other great toppings Zack's has to offer are salsa, marinara sauce and cheddar cheese. Boston is known for many famous icons like Paul Revere, Boston Tea party, but did you know they are also known for having the best hot dogs in Massachusetts? Spike's has a wide variety of different dogs for the various types of dog lover out there. You may be a Junkyard Dog who likes their dog topped with Spike's mustard, tomato, pickle, hot pepper rings and chopped scallions. Some other specialty dogs here are the Texas Ranger, Patriot Dog, 57 T-Bird German Shepherd, The Mutt, and one of most cherished is the Sinatra Dog. With the Sinatra Dog you have it "Your Way" with any of the special toppings. And with so many to pick from, it is clear why Spike's has the best hot dogs in Boston.
