we've seen hundreds of people run for the president of the United States of America. Jesse Jackson ran for president many times before. and he never got very far himself. I'm not even sure he won one state in the primaries before.
but Hillary Clinton was the first woman to run for president in our history. and she's gotten very far I must say. just to make thing clear, I do not like either of these people politically. but I do see that their run for the white house is very important and nonetheless historic, if not epic. I like John McCain myself.
but we all know who's going to win the democratic nomination now don't we. at first Hillary had a good run, she was leading in the polls for the first few months of the election. but Barack Obama started getting media attention and he rose above her quickly. I think that Hillary should have dropped out after super Tuesday just as Hukabee should have done as well.
so now we have a democratic deadlock that the only end will be the democratic convention. and by then McCain will have enough support to stop campaigning for months and still be ahead of the next democratic nominee.
from this hard and dirty campaigning the democrats are losing their party. if only one of them (Hillary) would have seen this coming they (or she) could have stopped this from happening and the general election could be underway by now. "competition breads excellence" that is not always true. in this case it is not true.
all of the campaigning against each other has made the voters not like or hate the other candidate. twenty percent of Hillary's voters said that they would not vote for Obama in the general election if he get the nomination. and twenty percent of Obama's voters said the same thing about Hillary. in super Tuesday two Hillary said publicly that John McCain would make a better president then Barack Obama would. and he said similar thing in the past about Hillary. so any future endorsement can't happen or will not be seen as real. the American people won't but it.
and if they run together that will make the people more mad then an endorsement would have. will all the crap they talked about each other they will not be able to have a political future together what so ever. but if Hillary would have dropped out the could have saved themselves from this happening. but over all I think that Hillary's campaign is more historic then Barack Obama's is. both are historic, but Hillary's is just a bit more. but the people of America should be proud that a black man and a woman can get this far in a race. it just shows that Americans aren't as racist as people like to say we are. thank you for reading my article.
