Google is now the best search engine in the world, however their first steps were not easy at all!

It all started when Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page were still just students at the university. They had the brilliant idea of how they could rank webpages using their great idea of Page Rank.

Basically the importance a web page had depends on how good others look at it. For example if you have a webpage about cars, the importance of your page will depends on the quality of the links of the pages that link to you have. And the importance of those linking to you will depends on the links they have linking to them and so on.

The idea just like in the real world. The importance you have for a job application will depend on the references you have. Just the same for Google!

In the beginning Google did not have too much money, only a mere 100.000$ check to start their business. Google almost bankrupt I guess because they hadn't a sound solution to make money.

They only showed low quality ads from HP or any other quality saying "spondored by".

Of course if they continued the same business model, today Google would not be what it is today.

They needed a great idea to make money.

They hired Eric Schmidt who has more experience than the two "boys" together and he started leading Google in it's way to Glory.

They invented Adwords around 2001 which gave the advertisers the great opportunity of getting a laser targeted visitor for only 0.05$.

A Google employee say it's a system where you spend 1$ and you make 10$ in revenue!

Adwords leads more than 50% of the market share. It's a great advertising solution to everyone and the fastest marketing machine ever invented.

For example if you have a new product idea, you can test it immediately on Adwords. No more waiting for people to come to your place and see if they like it or not...

I think Google has a long way to go before dominating completely the World!

A suggestion would be giving the users their search results based on their history. For example the same page is not the same to two different persons.

They should target their results to each one!

I think Google would be much better like that!
