SO MANY QUESTIONS, SO LITTLE TIME
In a day and age where values and morals have so drastically changed, we are left with so many questions as to why certain things happen or why a person does what he or she does. You see crime at its worst, people at their worst, but occasionally a few people and ideas at their best. There are so many things that I personally would love to know. Whether I will actually find these things out, it's hard to say.
WHY CAN'T WE END WORLD HUNGER?
I ask myself this all the time. Is there really a good answer as to why we can't end world hunger? I look at it from the point of view that so many companies and so many people in this world are making so much money that they honestly do not know what to do with it. It sits in a bank for years and years. There are companies raking in millions of dollars right and left. Sure, they have built up their company and they deserve it, right? My problem is, why not give. If everyone in the world who was capable donated just a few dollars, we could do so much with that money. We could feed and clothe so many people. Everyone wants to end world hunger, but when will someone actually take the first initiative. I truly believe that one day we could end world hunger, and I hope that I live to see that day.
WILL WE CURE ALL AILMENTS AND DISEASES?
We have all lost people we love to diseases and cancers and all kinds of ailments. The truth is, at one time the common cold was extremely deadly. It took time but eventually we had medicine that fought against the cold virus and now having a cold is no scary thing at all. I do hope that in my lifetime I can see cures for the horrible diseases and sicknesses that plague our world today. I know there will be a cure for cancer and for aids, I just hope we see it sooner than later.
WHY CAN'T WE EDUCATE ALL CHILDREN?
Of course it costs money for teachers to teach. I believe in my heart that there could be a way to educate all children and cost not be an issue. Even college could one day be universal and free. This may never happen, but because of the issues that surround education, this is a burning question I have always wondered.
HAVE WE MADE THE RIGHT DECISIONS AS A NATION?
This is a question that is hard to answer. If there is a payoff to the way out nation has handled things, then it will be a while before we see the results. I wonder if we have made the right decisions but at the same time all we can do is learn from past situations and move forward.
