Unforgettable female country music singers

There are many unforgettable female country music singers and there are more rising everyday. There is no way to list them all so I'm going to give you five of my favorites.

Patsy Cline-(Virginia Patterson Hensley) was born on 9/18/1932 in Shenandoah Valley, Winchester Virginia. Her big break came in 1957 and she hit the charts in 1962. Her career ended in 1963 due to a plane crash. In her short career she gave us songs like, "Crazy," "Walking After Midnight," "Sweet Dreams," "I Fall to Pieces," and "Your Cheatin' Heart."

Loretta Lynn-(Loretta Webb) was born on 4/14/1934 in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky. Her first 12 years were spent singing in churches and local concerts. She got her first guitar at 18 and taught herself to play. She hit the charts in 1960. She has given us songs like, "Coal Miners Daughter," "Poor Mans Dollar," "Honky Tonk Girl," "Feelings," and "Fist City."

Dolly Parton-(Dolly Rebecca Parton) was born on 1/19/1946 in Sevierville, Tennessee. She hit the charts in 1967. She's given us songs like, "Coat of Many Colors," "Jolene," "I will Always Love You," "Islands in the Stream," and "Rockin' Years."

Reba McEntire-(Reba Nell McEntire) was born on 3/28/1955 in McAlester, Oklahoma. She has pursued her career since the age of 5. Released her first album in 1972. She has given us songs like, "Whoever's in New England," "If You See Him," "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter," and "Is There Life Out There."

Martina McBride-(Martina Schiff) was born on 7/29/1966 in Sharon, Kansas. Her first number one was "Wild Angels" in 1995. That same year she joined the Grand Ole Opry. She's given us songs like, "Independence Day," "A Broken Wing," "Whatever You Say," and "I love You."

There are many others who are unforgettable also, like, Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, Sara Evans, Dixie Chicks, and way to many to list. Their songs will continue to be heard and some will even touch our hearts for years to come. Carrie Underwood won Americas Idol and has had one of the fastest moving careers ever since. She's even won female artist of the year. I think unless she burns out she will be one of the all time greats.
