Would you marry for love or money? Despite the belief that one should marry for love, a lot of people marry for money. Some people want a better life after having been poor; some people want to be free from financial worry; some people are greedy, materialistic or money-minded; and so on.
The classic movie Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961), which starred Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard, is a fine example of how love is being chosen over money. Hepburn played the role of Holly Golightly, a prostitute who dated rich men. Peppard played the role of Paul Varjak, a writer and gigolo. Initially, Holly rejected Paul because he was not rich enough for her. Instead, she wanted to be with Jose, a wealthy Brazilian man. However, upon finding out that Holly had been delivering coded messages to a prisoner, Jose left her. In the end, Holly chose love over money when she chose to be with Paul.
So, should one marry for love or money? Let us look at it objectively.
