Personally, I feel it is a little like looking in a mirror. I almost feel a kinship with these cats of mine.
The problems with being like a cat are several. The primary one is boredom. I have a very hard time with repetitive work because it bores me to tears. I am a manager in my profession, which provides some relief, but unfortunately, I am stuck in a building for much of each day with little opportunity for escape and no way to change my responsibilities. As a cat-like individual, this is a difficult concept to handle.
In my career, I have changed jobs several times looking for one that incorporates security along with enough change to keep things exciting for me. Unfortunately, when I finally found a job that was close to being just right, it disappeared out from under me. I guess that is the nature of a job that would keep a cat-like person entertained.
Some of my favorite activities are hunting, fishing, and martial arts. If you use your imagination, I bet you can figure out what it is about each of these activities that most appeals to me. To make sure, I will briefly explain. Hunting the thrill of the hunt itself, and then the pleasure of eating what I have hunted. Fishing the challenge of figuring out what will work to catch them, and again, the pleasure of the meal that results. Martial Arts the feeling of physical and mental control that can be achieved when melding concentration and movements into something so balanced and powerful. When I am at my best, I feel very quick and cat-like.
I am now approaching late middle age, but when I am warmed up and focused, I can be a very dangerous individual. I do not desire to use it against anyone, but it is a very good feeling to have. In my mind, that is the wild cat coming out in me and I relish it.
