How to end the war in Iraq

by Marie Devine

Created on: April 14, 2008

Although it looks like there is no victory available in the war on terror in the Iraq War, there are things written in the Muslim holy book that could cause a cease fire. Without injecting God's word into the war, it is most probably that the war will escalate bringing Syria and Iran into the war and that will bring more nations into a global fight.

The present United States leadership and even the presidential candidates are unwilling and unable to bring religion into the negotiations. It takes someone knowledgeable about all the religions involved in the conflict; and it takes a leader who is willing to lead us into a godly nation. We must do it for our own salvation and this gives us the perfect opportunity to do it as a means of stopping terrorism. I know God has a leader that He can put in office when we want His ways. All we have to do is pray to be a godly nation; God will do the rest. There is still time in this election cycle

Some people in Iraq want an Islamic state but their divisions between Sunni and Shiite have them fighting against each other. They both have the Qur'an, but neither of them is following what is written. They should be united and if the United States is not interested in them having a God centered government; the fight will continue with them united against us.

The primary message of the Qur'an is to follow the whole Bible, the religion of Abraham, Moses and Jesus and the prophets and be not divided therein. (Qur'an Ahmad. Numbering: 5:68, 69; 3:85; 2:136; 42:14) How can you be not divided? Jesus said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4 Both Jesus and Muhammad are giving the message to follow the Torah (Laws through Moses) and the Gospel and prophets.

The conquering part is that we are all supposed to be worshiping on the same days. The Torah commands the seventh day Sabbath and certain holy days including Passover which is this month (April, 2008) Sabbaths are days of no work for anyone. God commanded not to change His days (Deuteronomy 4:2; 12:32) The differences in Sabbath day is just a misinterpretation of the holy books, easy to see for those who want correction.

We have the option of bringing them into correction so that they are leading their nation by the Bible; even as our founding fathers said our government was totally inadequate to rule without the Bible. We could all come to correction. The United States can not unite them unless we are willing to follow the word of God in our holy books.

We need to pray to be a godly nation and God will put His leader into leadership for us.. When we choose to be a moral people and fight the indecency in our own society, there can be victory for all parties involved. We can end the war in Iraq and peace can overflow into other countries and regions including Afghanistan and Sudan.
