Are our schools preparing our children for the future?

Schools in the US are not preparing our children for future success and every mention of this fact is quickly rationalized and forgotten. There is a union controlled NEA which has motives other than imparting knowledge and intelligence in preparation for the future challenges to our kids in working and being a good citizen. Consequently this discussion of the problems will not adhere to any evaluation of this article but, will try to amplify some of the problems with the US school system.

Money from the government for the unions and the school system is contested by a matrix of rules and requirements for teachers to excel for this purpose only. Education is a fantasy that eludes a majority of the teachers and administrators and gives them a self evaluation that rivals The Man from La Mancha. After all the current teachers are a generation of the NEA and the mirage that is the present school system.

School administrators are operating in a protective mode which completely forgets the students and the quality of education in current schools. Recently a teacher was beaten by a student and the administrator told her she used a "trip word" when she directed the student to take her seat in the classroom so the lesson could continue. This betrayal rivals any Judas in historical existence and does not lend itself to any teaching value.

Recently students were taken to a brothel in Nevada as a school field trip. One begs the question "was any money spent during the supposed study for wares?" With the morals among many current teachers and administrators it has to be considered probable.

Gangs are prevalent in most schools and narcotics are only a monetary amount from the reach of most students. This makes us want to inquire, "How many teachers are smoking pot during school and how many are taking narcotics?" Again, the question should be asked and answered for the parents of the students as well as the students as it may be very probable. This is not good educational preparation for our children and the unionized NEA fails a good result again.

With many recommending home schooling, distance learning and telecommuting to gain an education the NEA controlled school system in California has moved to have a lower court pass a law threatening the parents with breaking the law. This is no different than kidnapping our children and forcing them into the NEA school system with no alternatives to try to gain a good education. It also tells the parents how much disregard for a parent's rights the current educational system possesses.

Further proof of the failure of the current school system is evident in the politicians calling for more high level talent to fill jobs from foreign countries. This is coupled with the need for outsourcing of jobs from our country to foreign countries. There is however a move afoot by some of the citizens to form a self protective group to further promotes our children's chance for proper educational preparation. This will be a group which will organize to put pressure on the politicians and to advertise as a group to make the governments of the nation and the states account for educational funds. As the supporters of the unions within the NEA do, this group is organizing to make their voice heard via the Internet. Hopefully this will give our children a better chance to obtain improved preparation in education results. If as a result the NEA system becomes obsolete and loses its ability to sponge off of the government that is all to the good.

In conclusion, there is a definite lack of good educational preparation for most of our current students in the US.
