The effects of pride

of happiness, but we need to make sure that we don't depend on our feelings to lead us to our being. Our inner being knows that being human means we will make mistakes, hide behind pride and do things to stress our inner peace inside. When we do those things, we need to recognize the feeling as simply human emotions that have little to do with facts. The fact remains that we have the ability to be at peace at any time and on any day. It's a choice we humans make.

4. Know what you own and what you don't.

I'm learning that the only thing we own is our soul. Everything else is a gift that we attract, depending on our human need and the emotion of desire. The only thing we arrive in life with and take with us when we leave our human side is the soul inside our being. If this is true, then we'll need to try to see our things through a different view. Our homes, cars, yards and the possessions we accumulate are only gifts we receive temporarily. The same is true for the people in our lives. My spouse, children, parents and friends don't belong to me even though I say they are, "mine." They are simply gifts in my human life which might be only intended to help me find the perfect peace that comes from my inner being, the only thing that's mine.

When I'm the best parent I can be to, "my children," I am helping them to see their true inner being and through them, I see mine too. It could be that this is what humanity was meant to do.

Too much pride in what seems to be mine might keep me from seeing or revealing my true inner being, but if I look at those people and things through an attitude of gratitude for what they give my human side of life, and my enemies or life struggles for what they teach me, I might be able to see the true inner being of you and I more clearly.

To Conclude:

I realize as I write that it's my human side that makes me write this article on pride, to prove to you that I am, "right." about pride and life. Still, who am I to tell you what pride can do to you or how to live your life?

The truth is that by typing words in documented print , it's my human way to validate that I exist and this article is proof of this. It could be that the being inside of you sees truth the same way I do, but then again, you might recognize the human side of me and choose to dismiss me. Either way, we are both seeking the same thing, the same answer to the same questions. I help you and you help me. Maybe that's the way it's supposed to be and why we try to take pride in what we do, say and write.
