Assessing the career of Manchester United's manager Alex Ferguson

was to retire at the end of the 2001-02 season, a statement which reflected negatively upon his Manchester United side and resulted in a drop in form. Ferguson went back on his decision however and as of 2008 still he remains with the club. Alex Ferguson is still as vital as ever to Manchester United, he's quite possibly the greatest manager there ever was and potentially the best manager there ever will be. I can think of no better manager than Alex Ferguson, he's a strict disciplinarian but over the years he has proved himself to be greatly effective in this approach. Players want to perform when managed by Alex Ferguson, no one wants to disappoint the man and Ferguson therefore always gets the very best out of his players.

The career of Alex Ferguson has been absolutely brilliant, the man is a footballing hero and for the success that Manchester United have had over the past few decades they have no one to thank other than Alex Ferguson. In 1974 Alex Ferguson started his managerial career, still the man is going strong as manager and the Manchester United squad that Alex Ferguson has at current is according to him the best he has ever had. Every season without fail Manchester United are on or around the top, Alex Ferguson has been a driving force behind the success of Manchester United for many years and long may he remain as a supreme managerial master.
