Lets get one thing straight. Their are at least three million comedians in the world and thats a low ball figure. To be the best is an opinion and not absolute by no means. Not only will I put my top ten, the ones I think are funny, not you, me, but then I will post reasons why a few favorites of yours are not funny to me. Please note, I am not choosing to put groups or teams on here, they are not comedians but groups or teams, duh.

George Carlin. He is funny and makes you think. "If you think you need self help, why do you buy a book written by someone else, thats help, not self help." Oh, sure he is angry sometimes but his rants are great. He is seasoned and his timing is awesome.

Mitch Headberg. He passed away a few years ago but is a huge force in comedy. "I hate spaghetti, I never want to eat a thousand of anything. Dogs, are always assuming the push up position. I used to do drugs, I still do drugs but I used to do them too."

Richard Pryor. Again, timing and his stories make me laugh out loud, while driving alone, almost causing me to rear off the road.

Gilbert Gottfried, the most underrated comedian of our time. He doesn't do routines, he wings it and that usually is fast and wonderful.

Bill Cosby, was a fine comedian and had great stories and timing as well. When he is not trying to remake told television shows, his stand up is funny.

Bobby Collins. This New York Comic tells a story like no one else. Also makes me laugh almost causing my demise at times.

Chelsea Handler, not because she is from my home state of New Jersey, if anything that would take points away, but for her quick wit and sassy style.

Andrew Dice Clay, although a blue comedian by nature, he can be as main stream as the next. He has the best timing I have ever heard or seen.

Brian Regan, for his wonderful take on his own life and our everyday lives.

Artie Lange, he is funny and genuine and has that in bred, Jersey sence of humor.

Ok, the over rated ones in my book.
Lucy Ball. Not a comedian but an actress that read funny lines. Desi was really the funny one.

Robin Williams, for stealing more jokes then Milton Berle and using Jonathan Winters act for the past thirty years.

Emo Phillips, no timing what so ever and a weirdo. His wife Judy Tunuda is funnier.

Any comedian that has jokes written for them including Cris Rock among others.

Carlos Mencia for taking Freddy Prince's act and any other Latino comedian who has been born after 1958.

Red Buttons for one simple fact, he never got a dinner.

Milton Berle, better known as "The Thief of bad gags."

And all those other comedians who use their comic status for their personal soap box.

Look, as I stated before, these are opinions. I did stand up for three years, was on a popular New Jersey television for four years, and have been writing comedy for thirty five years. I may not be popular but I know what I like. Thats all I have to say about that. I have to run now.
