Top travel destinations for 2008

The idea of traveling across the oceans sent a thrill and my soul stirred with anticipation. An invitation from my daughter to join her family to go to Hawaii during the spring vacation was the most welcoming beckoning. I accepted the invitation and we began planning to arrive at my daughter's home in Atlanta.

I don't say that our journey was unpleasant but it had a different shade in my experience. The journey up to Phoenix was a phase and we had to experience a bit of a discomfort when we changed flights. The space between seats was narrow and thus the journey I thought was not that comfortable.

We landed in Hawaii after a very monotonous tiring change. What suddenly transpired was the awesome accommodation- a transition from damp climatic conditions to a warm greeting coming from the gentle roar of the ocean right at out our feet where the ocean Resort that we have to stay is waiting to receive us. My son-in-Law and my daughter took a lot of care to provide me with the utmost comfort that was soothing and at the same time gave me a Philip to the erstwhile tiring life I was used to. But this is time to really share with them the joy they surely expected and it was a wonderful feeling.

The sight seeing later was a rare treat - the sea and the landscape stirred our spirits to action- that is to plunge headlong into spheres of the globe that began revealing the mysteries surrounding the island. We had been to see the live volcano in the big island, the rain forest- the flora the fauna drew our hearts - we forgot our homes, the routine life that we were used to.

The submarine ride was a great moment in our lives. Getting deep into waters becoming one with the creatures, their gliding movements in the depths of the ocean were dreamlike, even to the bottom where we could see coral branches and a couple of ships that were wrecked or destroyed during wars.

The beaches, the whale watching and the surfers- every direction was an entertainer. The time for us to return was approaching. The initial hiccup began with the news that the flight in which we were to return was canceled. It was the sixth sense of my daughter and my son-in-law that brought good sense in the management of the flights in the country that made us come back to our homes and made my description of this vacation possible.
