In my honest opinion, I really think working for yourself is the better way to go.
I have been in the work field for over 10 years, and I have got to tell you, it is not fun.
Always worrying if you are meeting your employer's expectations.
I have worked in fast food, convenience stores, restaurants, retail stores, I even worked in
a sewing factory.
I would work anywhere from 40-50 hours per week, and not earn no more than about $250.00.

I got so desperate for a good paying job, I went online and saw this advertisement for a demonstrator, hey I have done this before, I am going to give it a try. It took nearly six months for this guy to start me on my first assignment. Guess where my first assignment was

located. In Fort Stewart Ga. That is over 100 miles away from my residence. I took it on,
though. It took me nearly five hours to get there. I worked for two days, got homesick, came home. The boss then told me to work a little closer to home. So I did.
I had to purchase jewelry cleaner, raffle tickets and such.
This was over three months ago, still haven't gotten reimbursed yet.

I am currently unemployed. I can not leave my four-year-old with anyone but my Mother.

My husband is currently getting social security disability. My four-year-old and I gets
a small check every month.
When my husband gets his check, he is too busy paying his friends' lights and water
bills to help me and my Mother out with our bills and Little Earl's {that's my four-
year old} needs.
I know that my husband is very ill, but he still could help us out better financially.

I am currently looking for work-at-home opportunities. I am a little scared of these
scams that are going on the internet. I have found a few that don't have any
start-up costs. I am awaiting their reply.

I do prefer self employment. That way you know what is going on with your kids all of
the time. You don't have to constantly worry about someone looking over your
shoulder, and telling you how to do something better than what you are doing it.

Another advantage of being self-employed is that you get to set your own hours.
If your children need you, you are right there. You don't have to travel any
distance to try and rush to get to them.

Here is something really awesome about working at home. NO COMMUTE TO WORK EVERYDAY.
Gas prices are getting so high that it's getting tough for anyone to go
anywhere.

Maybe things will get better for everyone.
I believe by the year 2020, over 50% of Americans will be self-employed.
Let's hope and pray for good things in our future.
