locales have a rainy season you may want to avoid. My last cruise was on, Carnival's Glory. Despite being one of the largest in the world, it never stopped swaying. The sea was rough as it was late November and we were heading to the West Indies. I got sick several times, but never stopped eating, go figure.

My last cruise was a year ago, twenty-five years from the date of my first cruise. I decided to go with a relative. She and I have nothing in common but the same brother and mother. We stayed in the most luxurious room on the ship. Yes, it was quite expensive, but worth every dollar. We had a private deck, which I will say made it worth the fortune we paid. There was a Jacuzzi, shower and toilet none of which pulled out from the wall. The room was comfortable with two queen size beds and no cots.

My sister and I watched one Broadway show together, played lots of bingo, toured only one island of three, and lost enough money in the casinos to pay for another cruise. All in all it was a great trip depite doing many activities alone.

I learned that on my next sea adventure, I will always get a room with a private deck, no matter the cost. Buying a smaller suitcase will remind me to pack light. I will choose my season more carefully, and most importantly, bring along those I have fun in common with. I truly believe by avoiding the common mistakes, next time really will be the trip of my lifetime.
