Tattooing is an art just as painting, ceramics or other arts.
You can become a tattooist with some practise or taking apprenticeship from a professional, but what is more important is to know what you want to do with it.
1. You want to learn the art for hobby, then paying the fees for apprenticeship may not be the one for you. Just learn from some online sites or to it yourself. You can be good after some practise, and try it on some friends who are willing..
2.If you want to make it as career, then apprenticeship is the answer. People buy paintings and art only if the name sells, tattooing is the same . Select an professional who already has a a good reputation and can rub it on some for you.
3.Depend also on the word of mouth for reputation, try a few on willing friends and let them spread the good word for you.
4.But above all be aware of all the complications/hazards involved in the field.
Thanks
