You went out to eat and your server not only got the order wrong she was rude when you asked her to correct it. She left you and did not come back to check on you instead you had to flag her down. You bought your child a new set of clothes only to have the threads come out the first time you washed them. You take them back to the store and they refuse to refund or exchange them. You paid someone to cut your grass and clean your house; they did half the job half way and ran off. What do you do?
Yes, it is right to complain about service that does not meet our expectations. It is a right we have as paying customers to expect quality no matter how minor the service in question may be. When we ask for a service or product we expect to get what we are paying for. If it is simply a matter of the wrong color or we chose the wrong item or service we should not complain. When it is done badly or manufactured poorly then we should complain and the level of service should be approved upon until the services are satisfactory to all that have to have them.
When the complaint is generated from not having the problem fixed to your satisfaction because of rudeness it should be brought to the attention of the company in question. There is no need for the person that is supposed to be finding a solution to your problem to be rude about it if you are being nice and civil to them.
When you go to the store to purchase something or go out to eat you have an idea of what you want. You expect to be treated courteously and have your request treated with respect as well. You wish to have the problems that you express taken into consideration and at least an attempt to satisfy your request made. What you do not wish to have is someone being rude and acting as if your request is an inconvenience.
When paying for a service you expect to get what you paid for. I can guarantee no one cares to spend their hard earned dollar to have someone be rude to them, do an incomplete job or give them inferior merchandise. It is your money, you worked hard for it; voice your complaints loud and clear, make them make it right.
