Helium has nothing to do with blogging but I can see how someone may think that, the real difference between a blog and Helium is that a blog is like a personal journal where you can go to vent your frustrations or talk about your daily success, while Helium is known for quality content provided by everyday people.

If you are here to write about thing's that make no sense what so ever or are here to fill quality question's with useless information then I beg of you not to, I ask this for a number of reasons.

1) Helium is a place of learning valuable information written by individual experiences or individual knowledge on a particular subject.

2) The users of Helium rate the articles submitted by other users and if you write about nothing in a subject that should contain quality information, you will be ranked very low and placed at the back of the pack.

3) You won't make any money, Helium does not pay much for your articles but they give you a residual income, write one article and get paid for it until the site shut's down.

These are a few examples of why I plead to people not to treat Helium as a blog, however the true difference between Helium and a blog is Helium is made up of helpful articles in every subject and are written by thousands of people, a blog on the other hand is usually an individual experience or a small team of people working together on very few subjects or just focusing on one subject.

I know this draws a fine line and this topic has been discussed in depth by so many other sources, mainly the developer community, but the overall answer to this question is no.
