Puerto Penasco, Mexico or Rocky Point a haven for water sport lovers! It is located 66 miles south of the U.S. border on the north end of the Sea of Cortez. Kids enjoy snorkeling or you can dive into the deep ocean, either way there is non-stop fun for all ages.

Do you like to fish? Then take those rods and reels, get aboard a boat and head right out into the open sea to do what's close to your heart. Fishing is one of the many activities that you and your friends will enjoy here.

If speed thrills you, then jet skis are the right choice for you. Rent a jet ski and ride the waves of the Sea of Cortez, either by yourself or with your companion. Many of the beachside vendors will assist you with the right Jet Ski for you.

Snorkeling is a wonderful way to watch the variety of fishes like puffer fish, shovel nose guitar fish and sea cucumbers. Kids really love to snorkel, making it hard for the parents to bring them back to the shore. Of course parents promise the kids that they'll bring them back the next day for more snorkeling! This fun activity can also be done at Bird Island.

Those diving enthusiasts and novice divers can both have fun equally at Bird Island located off the shore of Puerto Penasco. Dive close to the sea lions and make some underwater friends.

Imagine flying in the air with the beautiful wind caressing you and watching the shoreline of the city from above- yes Parasailing! You can parasail over the blue Cortez sea and watch the amazing and panoramic views of the Sonora desert from above.

Take a ride in the banana boats as the locals would like to call it! It is a great way to enjoy a boat ride with your family inexpensively along the shores.

The Sea of Cortez is perfect for sailing, you can set the mast and set sail to Chola bay and Pelican point or even to Bird Island and visit the sea lion colony. Keeping a watchful eye on the ocean might help in spotting dolphins and whales in the whale season, which is from December to almost end of January every year.

Enjoy the glowing sunset either by kayaking on the Sea or by taking a sunset cruise. Take the paddle in your hands or let someone else handle it for you, so you can enjoy the peace and quiet and watch the sunset take the spotlight for a while.
