Sanity, what is it exactly, does it defy definition? Or is it merely a matter of interpretation based on previously conceived notions? When you speak on sanity, whether it be in essay form, statement form, or whatever form floats your boat at the moment, you are dealing with a conundrum. In the sense that for as many types of people there are in the world, each one has opinions they view as facts on such topics. To each their own of course is about the story, to write on such a diverse topic makes for an interesting experience no matter the hour.
Sanity defying definition, perhaps, absolute, not very likely. Sanity is truly one more result of your early life programming, that keyboard we all had when we were born. The one your parents often typed on as you grew up. Visually speaking of course, for many years the information was entered into your mind. Reinforced, by reminders or discipline if need be. Or through the power of the spoken word like a mantra. We all know the story, get educated, get a job, get married, have kids, retire, then die. To be sane, maybe you adopted that same mantra, it is more likely you established your own. In your own internal dialogs, admit it we all have it. The internal dialogs, when spoken out loud though is when it is at it's most effective considered insane? To make the choice, to change your programming by speaking and hearing it. That is not insane, that is the first step in formulating your mantra of change. To do something different then your parents so consequently you end up in a better place at that time in your life. The greatest challenge, in this moment, is the idea that sanity is what your parents have always done. Anything that is different defined as insanity? I would hope not, there are many examples to explore, great individuals made that quality decision. For bill gates to start in a garage, then to progress where he is today. You think people would call him insane that early on? If so, had he accepted this supposed insanity, windows would of never came about. Certainly that in itself is multi faceted. The point being, that insanity is often the springboard to doing great things in your life. Well insanity as defined, as breaking from the traditions, doing something different. Another person may say doing something different is sane, and to those who don't veer from the trail and follow the sane approach as defined are the ones who are insane. Once again the quandary appears, sanity cannot be officially defined, once again it is a matter of environment.
Sanity is truly multi faceted, and the interpretation is as diverse as the reader of this article, being that the case, to state that my interpretation of sanity is fact, consider that it is accurate, the absolute definition really does not exist. Each person will define sanity differently, each person will fight for their view on what is Sane and Insane. Again missing the gray in between. Meaning simply, there is a broad spectrum of color between black and white, nothing is really that clear cut.
