Making money with a website is very simple today.

I am sure you already saw some websites with interesting Ads called Ads by Google. What are these ads? The ads are made by Adwords Advertisers. They buy keywords and they make ads foe that keywords. For example, you buy the keyword "travel" and when a user searches for travel it will show your ad. Your ad is about cool destinations the user can go to and the click through ratio and the conversion ratio is really good because the traffic is super targeted.

But Google is ambitious and search results are not enough for them. They want even more money and traffic. So they had the great idea of placing ads on webmasters websites. The result was Adsense. This super cash machines checks the keywords of your website and puts ads related to the keyword and the content in general. For example if you have a website about houses, you will see ads related to houses there.

Top Adsense money makers make more than 5 Million dollars per YEAR! That's a lot of money! If you have a great website with a lot of visits you can expect to make a reasonable sum of money too.

But the world of Advertising is not just adsense. It has a lot more than that. For example you should try CHITIKA. It's an advertising program that shows products directly on your website plus pictures of the product advertised. This results in more sales and money than Adsense.

You must have at least 15.000 page views per month to join them.

Advertising.com is the biggest Ad Network in the world. To join them you must have at least 2 million page views per month. That's a lot of visitors for a website. If you manage to get that amount of visitors you can expect to make an incredible amount of money.

I never tried this one so I can't judge them...

Google main competitor is Yahoo Publisher Network. It has the second biggest number of ad impressions and it's a great affiliate program to join if you want to make serious money. I think they don't allow single users to join them because they are still in BETA. However take your best shot and try it!

I recommend too Bidvertiser. With this ad network you can see what is the highest bid of the advertisers and how much you can expect to make for each click. Give it a try!

Adbrite is another great program. It let's you see what are the highest bids on your site and I already saw some ads that were worth more than 100$ per click! I never got any click.....

Try them all and see which one performs better!
