A good website is a website focused on the user. The user is the most important asset of a website. What is a website without an audience? Nothing!

What are the caracteristics of a good website?

- It's simple and easy to navigate;

- All the links works properly, there are no broken links;

- The information is always updated;

- It rank well on Google, preferencially on the first ten results;

- It has quality content and not just yada yada;

- The design is great making it very easy to navigate;

- The best part of the site is the content;

- The website has not been banned by aany search engine;

- It has lots of back links specially from authority websites;

- The website is always updated;

- The website has not too much advertising;

- The website has not spyware, virus or trojans;

- The website is not associated to link farms;

- The website is not rotated by banner exchange programs or other website exchange programs;

- The website is clear and all the information is easy to read!

I think these are the most important features of a great website. You will never ever be able to build the perfect website. PERFECTION is something that doesn't exist on this earth. Only god is perfect!

Don't wait for the right time to start! Start it right now and you will see how far you get just by starting!

Don't associate your website to any exchange links programs. Google and other search engines are very smart and they can quickly smell out all those fake links and your rank will drop severely.

Don't link to "bad" websites. It will make them link you in return and it will make Google drop your rank.

To make a good website use Word Press. Word Press is already very famous on Google which means that all the pages will be indexed properly. Word Press organizes all your links very carefully so you will never see any broken link.

Word Press is used by the biggest content websites like this one Helium. It's very good for both begginers and experts.

Make sure you learn everything about it before deciding if it's good or not. Word Press is too big to be judged too quickly.

Install it on a fast server if you expect a lot of visitors. For example a website with one million page views per month will use a lot of server resources and bandwidth. Make sure your server can handle all that traffic and has enough bandwidth otherwise you risk gettting a big bill!
