How to write more a day

Finding time to write everyday is a challenge in an already busy life. You have to want to write so badly that you are practically obsessed by it. Then you will make time to write everyday. You will get less sleep, go out less often, get up earlier, sneak in time during lunch, or get up before the birds start chirping their morning songs.

Just how do you find the time everyday to write? Here are some practical easy ways to squeeze in time to write.

WHEN THERE'S A WILL, THERE'S A WAY.

If you want it badly enough, you will find the time to do what you love. It's like everything else in life, when you want something so badly that you can pratically taste it, you will be driven to do it. Don't watch television at night, instead get that writing that has been nagging at the back of your mind, done. Utilize your lunch hour at work to get some writing in. Write every night before going to sleep for a committed hour of writing. Get up earlier, and eat breakfast while writing, or doing research. Get some writing done during the kid's activities. Write in the bathroom. Create an enjoyable nightly ritual of writing while soaking in a hot whirlpool bath.

LET SOMETHING GO

I'm not saying to completely let your house become a mecca of a mess, and completely forget your family, but sometimes you just have to let the housework go. When you are serious about fitting in more time to write everyday, you have to let the little and sometimes the big things go. Leave the dishes in the sink, ask a relative to watch the kids more often. Allow the laundry to pile up, and let the house get dusty. This way you will have more precious minutes to do what you want, writing.

NO MORE EXCUSES

Stop telling yourself you don't have time. Even if you are juggling one hundred balls in the air everyday, stop saying I don't have time. Stop telling yourself any more negatives, open up your mind and make the time everyday. Don't let other people tell you what to do. You may have heard the nay sayers telling you, it takes too much time, there aren't any jobs in writing, or that writers hardly make any money. Well-intentioned people will tell you not to do it, because they don't want to see you struggle, or go through hardships.

ORGANIZE YOUR LIFE

Making time to write everyday is one of the most important aspects of writing. Organization is another. Organize your home so that everything moves faster. Take the time on a weekend for example to organize the kitchen the bathroom, and your work area. By organizing your home , you will be able to save time by finding things you need faster. Then you can devote more of your precious time to writing. Organize your life so that you can squeeze more time in for writing. Schedule family members to clean up the kitchen and do the dinner dishes every night so that frees up time for you to write. Bring a notebook of your writing with your everywhere you go so when you are waiting at the doctor's or dentist's office, you can use this time to jot down notes, or organize your time.

By telling yourself you will dedicate more time to writing and by feeding the muse, you will be well on your way to becoming a successful author. The hard part is allowing yourself the time to do what you really want to do. The easy part is sitting down and writing. Enjoy working on your craft!
