A small personal website can be very lucrative if you know how to make a very good one. Do you have what it takes to make a successful website?

The first thing you need to do is to register your own domain. Don't bother using sub domains such as you.blospot.com it will never rank high on search engines and users will never trust them.

Next you need to buy a server. I use Godaddy for my hosting. I am satisfied with them and I recommend them to you too.

Then you must install word press on your server. If you have your server on Godaddy they can do it for you.

After having Word press installed and the template you want on it you must build the content of the page.

Content is king! Is what makes the user visit the page and it's what makes the user coma back for more.

The user must be pleased all the time!

They are hard to keep and easy to leave since they have plenty of other options to choose. by the way they have millions of other options.

Don't make the user wait. Make your site light enough to make it fast.

Now how lucrative can one website be?

It depends greatly on what kind of website you have and the niche you are targeting.

For example a website about insurance is much more profitable than a website about history for example.

Don't bother making websites about subjects nobody cares about such as particular interests like astronomy, there are no advertisers selling rockets!

Make websites about the most expensive keywords but expect the hardest kind of competition.

I am talking about competition that will do everything they can to put you out of business and they only will stop when they succeed!

Don't be afraid of them. Just keep working and I am sure you will succeed

A good website can make more than 1 million dollars per month like the top earners like to brag about!

They are experts in their field and they know how to make money!

I suggest you to visit their websites and see what they are doing...

If you are a beginner the best way of monetizing a website is with Google Adsense.

Google Adsense will show the most targeted ads to your website and when a user clicks on them, you make money!
