Poetry: Locked

by Fisa Mihy-Mihyndu

Created on: April 11, 2008

She painted my departure with
her own tears:

we parted in proud August 1999:
...the place, where

she rehearsed, with high-fenced gushing tears
in sorrow, in pain
by the veranda of our morning solos.

United blitz, we stepped
backward
forward, unwilling
to separate our hands.

With rolling tears she wept
in proud August 1999.
