Workaholism: When it's time to go home

Do you know that kind of person that only thinks about work? I mean that kind of person that lives only to work and cares about nothing else but work.

There is nothing wrong with them. They like to work and they, unlike 99% of other people, they prefer entering the office than leaving the office!

It's these kind people that makes the world go round. They love what they do and they do it not only for the money like 99% of other workers, but they also do it for fun and because they like it.

These workaholics have very ambitious objectives they want to reach and they eat thinking about them, they sleep thinking about them and they even dream with their objectives during the night.

They never know how to stop and thank god there are some people like that on this earth. they are a true bless.

Now it comes the best part of the day to most people: Time to go Home!

They do not like their job and they are eager to go home! They only want the end of the month to get their payment.

Workaholics on the other hand they sometimes forget about their payday. They work for the work's sake and not for money only.

Some employers have a hard time sending these workers to home. One day I saw an advertisement about internet connection where the security had to take the employee to home using force! LOL! Just to demonstrate how some people work and live in the office!

How to deal with them?

First you must understand that their job is the most important thing in the world. If you fire them, you are almost hanging them! And you need an employee like that on your side (who doesn't?) and he can be your best asset to your success!

Explain to the employee after the "go home" hour everyone must leave the office and there can't be any exception!

Explain too the tomorrow is another day and he needs to be 100% cool and rested to endure through another hard working day.

Some employees might insist in continuing working. To these exception allow him to take home the company laptop and if the laptop belongs to th employee tell him to buy mobile internet and to finish the work at home.

However don't be surprised if he tells you he worked the entire night. Most of these employees don't work to please their boss. They work to please themselves.
