Humor: Self reflection

was going fine!"
My wife fills me in on this juicy scoop as I fast forward the DVR through commercials to the next person to weigh in on "The Biggest Loser". I wondered how long it would have been before I found out about this if she hadn't told me.

Then it occurs to me. If my wife and my buddy's wives are talking about our lives, and then they talk to their husbands, then what is it they know about me already but aren't saying? A flashbulb instantly goes off in my head with visions about my buddy's wives telling them something like I own an apron. I see them failing to tell them that it may be an apron, but it has my favorite college emblems all over it. Oh and I only use it when I grill!

This leads me to ponder the difference between men and women and how that includes me. And I pondered it alone. Pondered alone because I wouldn't dare think this would be a subject that one of my male buddies would think was funny or would want to talk about. You see, I'm in my mid forties and as the stench of male menopause wafts about me, I do everything possible to hold onto a vision I had of myself as a young boy. A vision of what I was going to be like when I grow up.

At that, in my deepest voice possible, I holler towards the bartender to fill-er up with another beer and make this one the darkest and thickest one that can flow from a tap!

Bottoms up!

Ahhhhh... that felt good and just manly enough to hold me over until bedtime and the comfort of 500 count linen again caress my, oh so manly skin!
