Daylight Savings Time: How Will You Spend That Extra Hour
The second Sunday in each March, we start daylight savings time, and on the second Sunday in November, it ends. Once daylight savings time does end, we set our clocks back an hour, which is how we got the expression" falling back". Therefore we will then gain an extra hour, and then of course the question arises, what exactly will you do with that extra hour? There are all kinds of suggestions, please allow me to give you a few of my own.
Try To Relax
You work hard all week, so why not try relaxing when that extra hour rolls around. You might try taking a nap, perhaps shutting your bedroom door, and just snuggling under the covers for an hour. Or maybe you'd rather take a bubble bath, just for your favorite scented bubbles into the bathtub, light some candles and put on your favorite CD, and enjoy. You could also finally watched that movie that you've been trying to, and although most movies are two hours long, within one hour you should be able to at least make a dent in it.
Reconnect With Family
Why not take that hour, to reconnect with family, you might be able to have dinner together as a family, or just sit around the living room and talk. What about playing a few boardgames, and popping some popcorn, and having just a fun family game night. There's no telling which you might find out about your family, especially little kids, if you just let them talk.
Volunteer
Who knows, you might be able to volunteer somewhere during your lunch hour, or an hour in the evening. Volunteering is so rewarding, not just for others but also for you. If you enjoy reading, you might try reading to the elderly or to young kids, or for story hour at the library, you might also like delivering meals for Meals on Wheels. Check out the different opportunities in your area, or ask at your church or business.
Make Something
Why not use your extra hour, to make a craft, or a gift for someone. Maybe your best friend has a birthday coming up, or you've been invited to a baby shower, make something with your own two hands as a gift, as we all know homemade is always more special than store-bought. You can get ideas for crafts on the Internet, and of course, here on Helium.com.
Well those are my ideas, of how to use your extra hour, and I hope one of them will be just what you needed.
