Feasibility of long distance relationships

Yes, it is true that long distance relationships are hard but they are not impossible.
There are few things you can do to make life easier for both of you.

1 Tell the truth about your feeling.
Your not around each other everyday so it isn't as easy to know when something is bothering you. Mind-reading unfortunately is not a gift most (if any) tend to have. Talking about how you feel will not burden the other person your only human your going to feel something.

2 Communicate.
This is different from the first because you have to do this regularly. With all the technology out there today there is no reason you shouldn't be able to say 'Hello I was just think of you.' Insecurity can easily set in when you aren't coming home to your partner each night, so just let them know that your thinking of them and no one else. Communication doesn't have to take the form of a lengthy conversation. It can be a quick text, IM, email or voice message.

Also send words of encouragement.
Every now and then send your partner a quick message telling them how special they are and how much they mean to you. You never know when someone is having a rough day and really needs to hear that. That goes for any relationship.

3 Purchase a web cam.
This will do wonders being able to see the expression on your loved ones face when they are looking at you. You feel closer to that person and makes a big difference. You don't even have to talk, you can turn on the camera and both of you study. Just knowing that that person is there is a comforting feeling. Talking over the internet through web cam is free through messaging services like AIM, Yahoo and many others. (They start at around $30 ... but really good ones are about $80)

4 See each other a least every two and a half months.
This may seem expensive but if you plan ahead you can find some really great deals on trips. Plus you gain frequent-flyer miles, which will allow for trips when your really low on cash. Seeing each other is what it is. Nothing can make up for being able to touch, feel and lay next to the person you love.

5 Don't be afraid to be kinky.
Keeping a relationship fresh from a thousand miles away isn't easy. So when asked to talk dirty on the phone or send a care package with you under garments, do it. You don't always have to wait for the person to ask for it. Be creative and come up with things that you know will excite your partner and keep them wanting you.

6 Send care packages.
To often when people go to the mailbox the only thing they get are bills and junk. So send a letter or a box of their favorite foods. Yes, they can go to the store and get theses things but it better when you get it in the mail for free because the person you love knows you so well.

Long distance relationships can be very trying but if you really want it to work then it will.
