Blogging is journal writing that will be posted to the Internet where millions of people can read and react to what you have written.
You can blog about anything you find of interest. You can write about your work life - your personal life - your hobbies - your reading - your writing - anything is fair game for blogging.
It is great to take the time to write a bit about whatever and then instantly see it on-line for millions of surfers to read. That one upside of blogging also happens to be the one downside to blogging - millions of people can read what you've blogged.
Keep your blog entries clean and free of gossip or foul language or stories about what you did last weekend - because anyone and everyone can read all about it - and they will read and tell others to read it as well.
Blogging has taken Internet usage to a higher level of connectivity to people all over the world. It has brought people together. Blogging has broken news stories before the major networks. It has literally created social networking on the net.
Blogging has come along way in just the past few years in terms of how blogs look and what kind of content you can include (such as videos and podcasts)and they have become a little easier to use.
Most blog sites offer space for free. The sites offer quick and easy step-by-step sections to get the information entered and posted or published. Some blog sites offer templates for designing a blog to look more like a web site.
The best way to find the blog site that meets your needs is to do a search engine search for blogging or blog sites. Review some of the blogs that are offered at the site. Read through the terms and agreements offered by each site. Pick your blog. Start writing. Start posting.
You will more than likely will have to publicize your blog yourself to start. You will get a blog site address or url that you can give to people. Encourage people to go to your blog and read your posts and comment on your posts.
You might want to consider writing blogs about current events or hot topics of the day or week. If you are blogging for business or for your professional life, again, you'll have to let people know where and what your blog is and remind people and business associates about the blog with every email or other type of correspondence.
Bloggin is here to stay for at least a few more years until the next level of Internet communications is developed.
