Defining money

Money is the root of all evils? No, the way money is used can be evil. Money can buy some pretty evil things. It can be used to fund some pretty evil activities. It can cause some people to act pretty evil in pursuit of more money. But money, of itself, is not and cannot be evil.

The fact is, we need money. If used well, it is the greatest material asset you can have. It is versatile. It can be used in exchange for a great number of "things." It can be freely given and received, and even bequeathed.

Money could be an angel and save you from worries and give you a life of comfort and of convenience. "Old" money (the kind you inherit from family), or "new" money (the kind you earn in your own lifetime, through your own endeavors), who cares? Money is money, and it is better to have it than not to have it.

On the other hand, money can put us into some pretty "sticky" situations:

- Money could be the source of the nerve to be involved in illegal gambling and other forms of vicious activities. Any illegal acts can lead to even worse outcomes.

- With money, materialism - the love of money and what it can provide - is also growing. Too much of it would be very negative in effect.

- People get too reliant on money and laziness or tardiness is triggered. This of course plunges down the dignity of the workplace.

- Money is the cause of selfishness and greed for some modern-day people. With the wrong perception that money would make one feel happy and secure, people can become covetous of it.

- Relationships are broken due to disagreements over money matters. Feuds blow up when money is at stake. They say the number one reason for rifts in marriage is money and finances.

- With money in the form of prizes and lotteries, people tend to rely on their luck and become too impatient of working hard over a lifetime.

- Fraud in the government like corruption is usually rooted from the influence of money.

As we can see, it is not money that is evil. How people see and consider money is what matters most. Throughout time, money has become the core pursuit of people's lives. Due to this, misery wraps the world and it all falls back to the fact that the majority of people around the globe think that money buys all and money influences all.

In a shallow look, these are true. But beneath the materialistic worldly eyes, there are things that money could buy and the things that are of huge essence are not necessarily things.

You need to heal your deepest beliefs about money. You can attract financial abundance in ways that are completely in alignment with your highest spiritual principles. Finally, you will be firmly in control of your spiritual and financial destiny.
