Can you make a living off the Internet doing online surveys and joining paid to click sites? It can be done, but it will take a lot of time and effort. I am not too familiar with online surveys, it is something I am just starting to experiment with, but I have joined over a dozen paid to click sites and know first hand what must be done to earn some cash through them.

First and foremost you must find the right sites to join. Many sites promise to pay you for your time and efforts but never do. Of the dozen or so paid to click sites I once belonged to, only one of them ever actually paid me for my efforts. In fact one of these sites promised a fortune, paying $300.00 for each click and payout when you reached $100,000.00. I requested my payout about a year ago and still haven't seen it. Luckily the only thing that was wasted was my time.

Next and most importantly, you need to get referrals. Earning a decent amount of money is impossible without it. Paid to click sites offer a percentage of your referral earnings, and you can build up a downline so you're earning money off everyone that your referrals have referred. Build a large enough downline and you can rake in plenty of money, but getting the downline can be difficult. You have to invest some time into advertising your link. There are sites you can join for free like Smiley Traffic that help generate traffic to your website.

Most of the paid to click sites do offer upgrades. Upgrading your account will allow you to request smaller payouts and also in some cases give you free referrals. Anytime a person joins a site without a referrer they are automatically given to a person with an upgraded account.

Joining as many sites as possible and getting as many referrals as possible is one of the keys to bringing in a lot of cash. It also helps to know how to invest that cash. Having a Paypal account is practically necessary for earning money on the Internet. If you have a Paypal account, you can join their Money Market. They invest your Paypal balance (although it remains available to you for withdrawals) into the Money Market and you earn a dividend from it. So now you're earning a few extra bucks off that few dollars you earned from the pay to click sites. If you then deposit that money into a high yield savings account you can earn even more from it without ever having to lift a finger.

Check out my 'About Me' page for a couple links to sites I belong to for free money :)
