and the expectations suddenly change. The police may even be a little more aggressive and blame him for stealing the car after making him take a breathalyzer just in case he is under the influence, probably arresting him soon after for resistance. Sure, this may not be the case in some cases but it still has become a standpoint for most opinions of our society in modern times.
Why is our country viewed in this way? Have no fear; it is not simply our land which is not as noble as we thought. We hear about places such as Iraq, but never try to touch on them unless it is about some recent Bush speech or Al Qaeda. So take a moment to think about the women of those areas who are treated as sexual objects and cannot even show their faces without being completely covered. It is not even possible to imagine the roles reversed because it is practically taboo to put the control in the woman's hands.
Speaking of hands, our education is held in those of teachers so maybe young adults ought to comprehend that concept. Kids are suddenly becoming more and more informal in conversation and tend to forget they hold no power over their educators in many aspects. If we expect respect and compassion from them, why are we not giving them the same in return? I can't even remember the amount of times I have heard someone talk back to a teacher. Now take a second to think of a teacher giving this same attitude towards a student and the tables are turned. Attention America's youth, stop expecting so much from your elders if you do not attempt to do the same for them.
We as Americans are said to be free but it is not really as true as you may think. We are imprisoned to these beliefs we are better than someone else, or hold a different place than others in this world. Take the foot out of your mouth and put the shoe on the other foot. Regardless of skin tones, title, or sex, no one should be given special treatment. Please everyone, act accordingly.
