Reflections: Pet peeves

The Things I Can Live Without

Pet peeves are a source of extreme frustration and anger. They are often little occurrences that set one off for no apparent reason. From one being to another, these are the things I can live without:

Britney Spears. Paris Hilton. Anyone, famous or not, who gets by on looks alone. If all you have going for you is that you're pretty, I don't care about your life.

Reality television. I've always thought television is about escaping reality.

Lazy ignorant idiots who refuse to think. All of those people (and there are a lot of them) can get off my planet.

People who impede my path in any sense of the phrase. Get Out Of My Way!

People who have no sense of humor. It's a joke; chuckle, damn it.

Cheerleaders. Oh my God! Like, put on the uniform and your IQ drops twenty points.

The signs on the side of the road that say, "Do not cross the double white lines." That's what the double white lines mean! If you don't know that, get off the road!

Those shirts with the fake breasts in them. They work for other girls but my breasts are perfect, thank you, and I don't need a bra or a shirt to augment them.

People who say, "I was drunk," as an excuse for doing something. I get drunk every once in a while, but I never do anything because I was drunk.

People telling me they will pray for me. It's okay if you do pray for me, but don't tell me about it, because I don't care. Just because I'm a different religion than you are does not make me a lesser person. There is not one correct spiritual path for everyone. Everyone has their own spiritual truths and should find those, they shouldn't find someone else's.
