Every picnic table is host to at least one bowl of baked beans. This recipe, however, provides a delicious alternative to the standard pork and beans based casserole. We especially enjoy it with barbecued hot dogs and hamburgers.
Cowboy Beans
1/2 pound hamburger, browned and drained
1/2 pound bacon, browned and drained
3/4 cup chopped onion
1 can pork and beans
1 can kidney beans, drained
1 can lima beans, drained
1 can butter beans, drained
Mix all together and add 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup ketchup, 1 teaspoon dry mustard, 2 talespoons inegar. Put in bean pot and bake in 350 degree oven for 40 minutes.
