Racial inequality or oppression: Do they truly exist in today's society?

socioeconomic disadvantage places responsibility on whites. Less ability and lack of motivation cast blame on blacks. To me, the condemnation should be a collaboration of all four of these issues.
Over the years, there have been attempts to actualize equality between the races. The movement of Dr. King was most efficient toward the cause. During this, milestones were accomplished that lessened equality gap. My opposition argues that this act enhanced balance between the races that was inevitably enough. My point however, is that this was the first step toward recovery.

It's a shame that black Americans (especially males) have been type-casted as criminals. However, the Pavlovian theory, created around 1904 suggests this effect. Dr. Delores Jones Brown states that: "The policeman develops a perceptual shorthand to identify certain types of people as symbolic assailants, that is, as persons who use gesture, language, and attire that the policeman has come to recognize as a prelude to violence. Most communities have come to identify the black man with danger." An extreme fear of color rules the minds of those whom we look to for protection, which leads to more criminality from the black community. The in-balance of trust and fear between the races must be conquered in order to prescribe equality.
Slavery has taken on a new form in today's society which magnifies itself with corporate dignity. This is a question of culture, society and government. The subconscious entity of our minds is real and fated. This assessment allows an opening for the prospect of change. It is a change that has been past due for over four hundred years. It is a reflection of us and the future of our dear America.
