Spring: A time to hit refresh and revaluate your life

Spring is a very special time of year. It has always been one of my favorite seasons. I love to see the trees slowly budding. I love to watch the buds eventually form into leaves of bright green. I love to watch the flowers bloom over time, in all their various colors, no two the same. I love to watch the clouds lazily moving across the bright blue sky, helping each other along the way. I love to hear the birds chirp as I hear squirrels nibble on nuts. I love to watch all the little creatures communicating with each other. I love to wake-up to drops of morning dew resting on blades of grass in the fields. I love to watch a fluorescent sun rising or setting in the distance. I love the pure scent of a fresh breeze as it blows through a lilac tree. I love the perfect warmth of a spring day as it touches my arms while drinking ice-tea. Spring, so relaxing, so fresh and new! I can not help but take the time to reflect as I sit back, so I do!

I reflect on both the good and the bad times I have had. I think about all the lessons I have learned through my life, and the ones I still seem to refuse to learn. I reflect on all the time spent with my sons, my parents, family and friends. I reflect on the wonderful relationships I have had with them. I ask myself if I have done my part to keep these relationships fresh and new. I sit and evaluate what I need to make improvements to.

I remember as I sit this spring viewing God's creations, that true beauty takes time, dedication and patience. Flowers slowly bloom, clouds slowly accumulate, buds slowly become flowers and leaves, the sun slowly rises and sets, all in their own perfect timing. The same holds true with God's human creations. I try to apply the observations of God's creations, to this life of my own. I take time to work on setting new goals.I try to remember that true beauty takes time, dedication and patience.

I am a piece of His creation, made by Him and for Him. I am His light, yet sometimes still too dim. I am His voice, yet still too often speak my own words. I am His eyes and desire purity to see. I am His hands that still too often write for me. I am His ears and am careful as to what I hear. I strive to prioritize, be persistent in the positive and press on toward perfection. Perfection I will one day know, when I am in my heavenly home.

Spring, so relaxing, so fresh and new, what better time is there to evaluate the beauty inside of you? So take the time to enjoy the scenery and strive to improve your life daily.
