In the middle of the street,
With a hand in her hair.
He punches her face,
Everyone just stares.
Seems like nobody cares.
The bruises and cuts
Nobody wants to see,
The fear she holds inside,
The tears that he can't see.
Fear, it only feeds him,
Tears just give him strength.
She silently pleads for help,
Her lips too swollen to speak.
No one reads the quiet sign,
They just don't seem to see.
She's scared of her own shadow!
Can't you see the sign, it says
HELP WANTED!
